Privacy Policy for Habit Observer
Last updated 30 August 2026
Habit Observer collects nothing
There are no accounts, no servers of ours, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you record stays on your device, and we never see it.
That is not a promise about how carefully we handle your data — it is a description of an app that has no way to send it anywhere.
What we collect
Nothing.
We operate no servers for this app, so there is nowhere for your data to arrive. We cannot see your habits, your progress, your settings, or anything about you or your device.
What the app stores, and where
All of it lives inside the app’s private storage on your device:
| Data | Where it is kept |
|---|---|
| Habit names, notes, icons and schedules | A private file in the app’s own folder |
| Completion history used for statistics | A local database file on the device |
| Theme, language, first day of week, purchase status | The operating system’s app-preferences store |
| Reminders | Scheduled by the operating system; the text is generated on the device |
None of this is transmitted anywhere. It is readable only by Habit Observer, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Purchases
Habit Observer PRO is a one-time purchase handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. Payment is processed by Apple or Google — we never see your name, card, address or account. The app receives only whether the PRO product was purchased, and stores that single yes/no answer on the device.
Those transactions are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled locally by your device. Nothing goes through a push service, and no reminder content leaves your phone. The app asks for notification permission only at the moment you switch a reminder on, and it works fully without it.
Device backups
If you have iCloud Backup or Google Auto Backup switched on, your operating system may include this app’s data in your backup, under your account. That is a feature of your device, controlled by you and governed by Apple or Google — not something the app sends anywhere. You can exclude the app in your system settings.
Tracking, analytics and advertising
There are none. Habit Observer contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising library and no tracking of any kind. We do not profile you, and there is nothing to opt out of.
Sharing and selling
We have no data about you, so there is nothing to share, sell, rent or disclose — including to law enforcement, whom we could not help even if compelled to.
Links out of the app
The About screen can open our website and our company page in your browser. Once you leave the app, the site you visit applies its own policy.
Children
The app is safe at any age. Since no personal data is collected from anyone, none is collected from children either.
Your rights
Rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data — under the GDPR, the CCPA or similar laws — normally apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none.
Your data is in your hands instead: the app’s Settings screen can reset your statistics or erase everything, and uninstalling removes all of it from the device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date. If a future version of the app ever collected anything, we would say so here plainly and ask you before doing it.
